Introduction

In 2004, our email broadcast system sent approximatly 55,000,000 emails to opt-in list on behalf of customers. The high performance system that enabled us to send all these emails was developed in house at Marketing Software Company.

For several years we had struggled trying to get adiquite performance and stablity out of several purchased broadcast email systems. After this experiance we decised to create our own system from ground up.

This system had 6 main components, emailer, reporter, response tracker, unsubscribe, bounce processer and database.
